Parion (AD 222-235) AE 22 - Severus Alexander

Severus Alexander, 222-235 AD. AE22 (5.64g). IMP CAEƧ L ƧEP ƧEV ALEXANDER, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / DEO AE ƧVB, C G I H P in exergue, Asclepius seated right on throne, holding raised foreleg of bull standing left. Extremely rare.

C.G.I.H.P. = Colonia Gemella Julia Hadriana Pariana, but uniquely apparently for Parium coins, the legend on this coin is CGHIP. DEO AESC(ulapio) SVB(venienti). Reversed S's throughout.
