Lampsakos (BC 500-450) EL Stater

5th century BC. EL Stater (14.93g). Forepart of Pegasus left, ‡ below, within vine wreath / Quadripartite incuse square. Rare and among the finest specimens known. Well struck in high relief, EF. Ex Sotheby’s, Wilkinson and Hodge 1900, Late Collector, 324; Sotheby’s Wilkinson and Hodge 1907, Delbeke, 180 and Leu 30, 1982, 165 sales. From the de Sartiges coll.

NAC dates this coin to 412 BC, which seems quite late
