Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE35 - Medallion (23.20g, 6h). (Claudius) Rufinus Sophistes, strategus. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Three neocorate temples, the central one in elevation, with statue of Zeus, the two side tetrastyle temples in perspective; ΠOVΦINOV COΦI in two lines in exergue. VF, brown surfaces.
