The reverse type is unkown at Priapos, however, it closely resembles the great altar of Parium present on the reverse of coins that city (cf., e.g., BMC Mysia pg. 97, 40). Thus, it is possible that this coin commemorates an alliance between the two cities.

Magnesia (BC 210-200) Didrachm833 viewsca 210-200 BC. AR Didrachm (11.08g, 10h). Persic standard. Theodoros, son of Theogenes, magistrate. Warrior, holding lance, on horse rearing right; monogram below / Bull butting left; grain ear behind, ΘEOΔΩPOΣ/ΘEOΓENO[Y] in exergue; all within circular Maeander pattern. Good VF, a hint of porosity. Unpublished with monogram and this magistrate.

The weight and type of this piece clearly place it among the Persic standard didrachms detailed by Kinns, all of which are very rare. What is also significant about this piece is the addition of a monogram on the obverse, and the magistrate, who is unattested for all of the denominations during this period.

The bee would seem to point to an attribution to Ephesos, but there is really nothing like it in that series. Silver fractions with turtles have been attributed to various locations from Lesbos to Lycia, and provide no help in identifying this unrecorded type.
