Commodus, 177-192 AD. AE45 - Medallion (49.89g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Nike alighting right, presenting wreath to Commodus, in military attire, standing left, holding spear. Good Fine, green patina, roughness. Rare.

See SNG France 2237 and SNG Levante 1588 for similar medallions with Tyche presenting the wreath to Commodus, and also SNG France 2238 for a similar medallion of Septimius Severus with Nike presenting a wreath to the emperor.
