Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE35 (22.53g, 6h). Cl. Rufinus Sophistes, strategos. Struck 241-243 AD. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Two Nemeses standing facing one another, that on the left holding bridle, that on the right patera and cubit rule; griffin between. VF, green patina, even roughness.
