ca 270-240 BC. AR Oktobol (4.72g, 12h). Lion's mask facing within dotted circle / Forepart of bull right; krater behind; trident head below; olive branch to right, ΣΑΜΙΩΝ above. Beautifully toned, a splendid example. Good extremely fine. From the collections of O.H. Knoepke, Glendining's (12/1986), lot 293 and R.C. Lockett, IV, Glendining (2/1966), lot 2352, ex Naville IV (6/1922), lot 876.
