Paphos (BC 450) Stater - Stasandros

450-400 BC. AR Stater (23mm, 10.96g, 12h). Bull standing left; winged solar disk above; ankh-like symbol to left; in exergue, palmette ornament / 'sa-ta-san-do pa-si' in Cypriot syllabic script, eagle standing left with closed wings; ankh to lower left; all within incuse square. An attractive and very well centered piece. The obverse struck from the usual worn die, otherwise aEF.
