Kaisareia Germanika (AD 193-194) AE 24 - Pescennius Niger

Pescennius Niger, 193-194 AD. AE24 (5.98g). Laureate head right / Hygieia standing right. An apparently unpublished reverse type for this series which honors the various gods of the Greek pantheon. Fine, glossy green patina with small patches of roughness. Extremely rare. Melcher Coll.; ex CNG 57 (4/2001), lot 799.
