Claudius, 41-54 AD, with Messalina (his third wife). AE28 (12.73g), struck 41 AD. TI CLAVDIVS CAES [AVG C I F ANNO LXX]XVI (= Year 86 of the local era). Laureate head of Claudius right / MESSALINA - [AVGVSTA], draped bust of Messalina right. red-green patina, corrosion, G/VF. Extremely rare. Ex Auctiones AG 10, Basel (1979), lot 170.
