Philadelphia (AD 37-41) AE 17 - Caligula

Gaius (Caligula), 37-41 AD. AE17 (4.73g, 12h). Makedon, magistrate. Bare head right / capricorn left, bearing cornucopiae; monogram to left; ΜΑΚΕΔωΝ in exergue. Good VF, olive patina with traces of earthen overtones. Very rare magistrate, only three examples cited in RPC: one in Wintherthur, a second in Vienna, the third in a private collection.
