Ephesos (AD 117-138) Cistophoric Tetradrachm - Hadrian

Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (10.76g, 6h), struck after 128 AD. Bare head right / Cult statue of Diana (Artemis) Leucophryne(?) crowned with wreaths by flanking Nikai; eagles at sides. VF. Overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus. Extremely rare, only three specimens cited by Metcalf.
