Nikomedes III, 128-94 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.83g, 12h), dated 177 BE (121/0 BC). Diademed head right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΝΙΚΟΜΗΔΟΥ, Zeus standing left, holding wreath in right hand, lotus tipped sceptre in left; to inner left, eagle on thunderbolt above monogram and ZOP (date). Good VF, lightly toned, broad flan. Rare variety, only one specimen cited by De Callatay. Cohen Coll.; ex New York Sale V (1/2003), lot 136.
