under Roman rule, 3rd cent AD. AE24 (8.01g). ΔΗΜΟC - ΠEΛΤΗΝΩΝ, head of young Herkles right, wearing lion skin / ΜΑΚE-ΔΟΝΩΝ, naked Apollo standing, bow in left hand, pulling arrow from quiver with right hand. Good style, olive-green patina, gVF. Very rare. Gutknecht coll.
