Ariarathes IX, Eusebes Philopator, 101-87 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.24g). Dated Year 2 (100/99 BC). Diademed head right / Athena standing left, holding Nike, spear, and shield; ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΙΑΡΑΘΟΥ ΕΥΣΕΒΟΥΣ ΦΙΛΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ, B (date) in exergue. Good VF, toned, small area of flatness on the obverse. Very rare. Drewry Coll.; ex CNG 54 (6/2000), lot 760.
