Gargara (BC 500-475) Obol

ca 500-475 BC. AR Hemiobol (0.54g) Female head left, hair bound in sakkos, Î“Î‘Î¡ behind / Quadripartite incuse square. Good VF, slight flan bend. Apparently unpublished.

The location of this issue is based on the ethnic, but the style places it a at least a half century before the accepted date for the earliest coinage of Gargara.
