Antiocheia (AD 253-268) AE 36 - Gallienus

Gallienus, 253-268 AD. AE36 (20.82g, 6h). Radiate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield / Bridge spanning the Maeandrus river; gateway to bridge to left, surmounted by stork standing right; on parapet, river-god Maendrus reclining left, holding reed and cornucopia. Good VF, red and dark green patina. A choice example of this interesting and ambitiously designed type.
