Time of Valerian and Gallienus, 253-260 AD. AE23 (6.80g, 12h). IЄPA CYNKΛHTOC, bust of the Senate right / KYMAI-ΩΝ, river god Xanthos reclining left holding plant with three buds in raised right hand, left elbow resting on urn from which flows water, in exergue XANΘO[C]. About extremely fine.

Xanthos meaning fair or yellow was the name of the river god mentioned in the Iliad who tried to drown Achiles.
