Chios (BC 412-334) Tetradrachm

ca 380-350 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.32g, 11h). Poseidippos, magistrate. Sphinx seated left; to left, grape bunch above amphora / Quadripartite incuse square, with striated quarters and thick bands; ΠOΣEIΔIΠΠOY on horizontal band. EF, lightly toned. Well centered on a broad flan of excellent metal. One of the finest known.
