ca 48-27 BC. AE27 (10.50g). Iason, magistrate. Artemis huntress with bow and quiver advancing right, hound running beside her, in field E - Î¦ / Cock standing right, palm behind on which hangs wreath, IAÎ£Î©N in exergue; all in laurel wreath. VF. Rare.

In 48 BC, Caesar visited Ephesos and reformed the constitution of Asia. From this time onwards there is no autonomous Ephesian money.
