Smyrna (AD 117-138) Tetradrachm - Hadrian

Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (9.26g). Smyrna mint, struck after 129 AD. Bare head right / Two Nemeses standing facing, vis-a-vis, each holding out fold of drapery; the left also holding a bridle, the right a rule. Toned, choice VF. Overstruck on a cistophorus of Mark Antony and Octavia (RPC I 2201; RSC 2).
