C. Fannius, Praetor, 49/8 BC. AR Tetradrachm (12.04g). Cistophoric standard. Charidemos, son of Dionysides, magistrate. Cista mystica with serpent; all within ivy wreath / Hexastyle temple, surmounted by statue of Athena, between two serpents and stars; to right, Hekate standing left; magistrate’s name below. Good VF, light porosity. Rare. Ex CNG 66 (5/2004), lot 1014.
