Lucius Verus, 161-169 AD. AE32 (19.18g). ΑVΤ ΚΑΙ Λ ΟVΚΙC(sic) ΟVΗΡΟ CΕΒ; bare-headed bust right, wearing cuirass and paludamentum / ΣΕΒ ΤΟ[ΛΙCΤΟΒΟ] ΠΕCCΙÎΟVÎΤΙΩÎ; Serapis seated left, extending arm over Cerberus, holding long scepter.
Pessinus was the capital of the Tolistobogii, one of the Celtic tribes that had migrated into Asia Minor. Their name occurs on some of the coins of this city.
