Nikaia (AD 260-261) AE - Macrianus

Macrianus, 260-261 AD. AE - 8 Assaria (7.70g). Radiate and draped bust right / City wall. Brown patina. Very fine.

The reverse shows the city wall of Nikaia which needed to be fortified after invasions of the Goths. Most of it is still preserved.
