Aspendos (BC 420-400) Stater

ca 420-400 BC. AR Stater (10.81g). Two naked wrestlers, the left contestant trying to unbalance the right by pulling his leg / Slinger right, in short chiton, drawing back his sling; ΕΣΤFΕΔΙΙYΣ to left, triskeles to right, dotted square border within shallow incuse square. Very fine. Ex Muenzen und Medaillen AG 41 (Basel 1970), lot 261.
