Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE29 (12.40g). Laureate, cuirassed and draped bust right; with countermark, Δ / Athena Alcidemus advancing right, attacking anguipede Giant, raising hands in defense. A bit rough on reverse, nice very fine.
