Syedra (AD 249-251) AE 34 - Trajan Decius

Trajan Decius, 249-251 AD. AE34 (22.63g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Two single-handled cups and gymnasiarch’s oil basin with palm frond. Near EF, attractive green-brown patina. Extremely rare - this type missing in the standard references. From the same reverse (and obverse?) die as the specimen sold by Münzen & Medaillen, but almost double the weight and on a flan roughly 5mm larger in diameter. From Group CEM.
