Ancient Greek and Roman coins from Asia Minor

Coin ID #7255

Abydos (BC 320-280) Drachm

ca 4th century BC. AR Drachm (13mm, 2.29g). Kephalos, magistrate. Laureate head of Apollo right / Eagle standing left; thymiaterion in wreath to left, ABY above; ΚΕΦΑΛΟΥ to right above. Good VF, light porosity, cleaned.

Copenhagen identifies the symbol within the wreath as a club, but their example is too worn to clearly see that it is a thymiaterion.
