Anazarbos (AD 235-238) AE 38 - Maximinus I

Maximinus I, 235-238 AD. AE38 - Hexassarion (20.44g, 2h). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Female figure standing facing, head left, before bull standing left, holding bipennis over shoulder. Near VF, dark green patina, flan split. Struck on a broad flan. Extremely rare. Ex Krizan Coll.; ex CNG 53 (3/2000), lot 1130.
