Caracalla, as Caesar, 196-198 AD. AE18 (3.94g, 5h). Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla right / Dionysus standing facing, head left, holding cantharus and thyrsus; at feet to left, panther seated left, turning head to catch drops of wine. Near VF, brown-green patina. Rare city and possibly unpublished. Ex Krizan Coll.; Ex Edgar L. Owen 45 (12/1999), lot 3293.
