Augusta (AD 202-205) AE 31 - Plautilla

Plautilla, Augusta, 202-205 AD. AE31 (19.21g, 12h). Dated CY 182 (201/2 AD). Draped bust right, between star and crescent / Athena advancing left, holding Nike, spear, and shield; BΠ/P (date) to left. VF, dark green patina, a few cleaning marks. Extremely rare, seemingly unpublished and only the second known coin of Plautilla from Augusta. Ex Krizan Coll.

The only other known coin of Plautilla from the mint of Augusta, Karbach 91, is struck from the same obverse die but depicts Artemis on the reverse.
