Kyzikos (BC 450-400) Tetartemorion - crescents

ca 5th century BC. AR Tetartemorion (0.14g, 7mm). Crescents in triangular arrangement, pellet in one and between two / Head of roaring lion left within incuse square. gVF. Extremely rare. Apparently unpublished.

Though uncertain, the lion is of very similar style to the lions featured on the fractional coinage from Kyzikos.
