Kelenderis (BC 425-410) Stater

ca 425-410 BC. AR Stater (10.82g, 2h). Nude rider, holding whip in his left hand, jumping from horse galloping to left (performing the kalpe', a horse race in which the rider jumps from his horse and runs beside it) / Goat kneeling to left, head turned back to right; ivy branch above. Toned, EF. Ex Bank Leu 28 (5/1981), lot 182, and from the Cilician Hoard of 1957 (IGCH 1255).
