Magnesia (BC 350-320) Trihemiobol

ca 350-320 BC. AR Trihemiobol (0.76g, 12h). Lykomed[es], magistrate. Warrior holding lance on horseback right / Bull butting left on maeander pattern; ΛΥΚΟΜΗΔ in exergue. VF. Extremely rare denomination.

Of the fourteen magistrates of the early Magnesian series, only Lykomedes is known to have struck trihemiobols, of which only the Weber coin is published (see Kinns, Magnesia, p. 137-8, n. 4).
