Silandos (AD 198-217) AE 30 - Caracalla

Caracalla, 198-217 AD. AE30 (17.16g, 11h). Helenus, magistrate. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Dionysus standing left; at feet, panther left with head right; ΕΠΙ ΕΛΕΝΟV in legend. Good VF, black-green patina with traces of earthen overtones. The obverse die for this coin may have been recut from one for Septimius Severus.
