Ancient Greek and Roman coins from Asia Minor

Coin ID #3160

Mallos (BC 385-333) Stater - Autophradates(?)

Autophradates(?), ca 380-333 BC. AR Stater (21mm, 9.83g). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin around neck / Head of satrap right, wearing Persian headdress. VF, minor roughness. Winzer's attribution to this satrap is based on the this coin's portrait to others stylistically similar bearing Tirabazos' name. It is also quite possible the satrapal portrait is that of Autophradates, Tiribazos' successor.
