Tralleis (AD 244-247) AE 36 - Philip II

Philip II, as Caesar, 244-247 AD. AE36 (23.48g, 6h). Flavius Diadumenus, magistrate. Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right / ЄΠ[I ΓP?] TΩN (ΠЄ)-PI ΦΛ ΔIAΔ(OV)-MЄN[OV?] TPAΛΛIANΩN, Zeus Nicephorus seated left facing a cult statue of Artemis Ephesia. Near VF, dark brown patina, rough surfaces, twice holed (at 12 and 6 o’clock on obverse) and plugged. Extremely rare.
