ca 521-478 BC. EL Hekte (2.57g, 10mm, 12h). Facing head of grimacing Gorgon, tongue protruding (no small row of top teeth) / Bearded head of Herakles right, wearing lion-skin headdress; truncation with two rows of dots, rectangular punch behind neck; the whole in incuse. EF. Carr coll.

Obverse and reverse die unknown to Bodenstedt and no match with examples that have come to auction thus far. 34 examples known to Bodenstedt, this appears to be the 60th example offered at electronic auction or sale.
