Commodus, 177-192 AD. AE44 - Medallion (45.10g, 6h). Tatianus, archierus and archon. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Commodus, holding sceptre, driving biga left; above, Nike, flying right, crowning him with wreath; Ε[ΠΙ] ΑPXΙΕ[ΠΕ]ΩC in legend, ΤΑΤΙΑΝΟV / [C]ΙΛΑΝΔΕΩΝ / Κ ΑPX in three lines in exergue. VF, black, olive and brick-red patina. Extremely rare.
