Dardanos (BC 500) Drachm

ca 550-500 BC. AR Drachm (5.38g, 16mm). Cockerel standing to right; four pellets in stellate pattern behind, two pellets before / Two incuse punches of unequal size. gVF. Apparently unpublished and possibly unique. A fascinating piece that undoubtedly represents the earliest known coinage of Dardanos. A.F. Coll., Germany.
