Kalchedon (BC 250) Tetradrachm

mid 3rd cent BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.71g, 1h). Imitating Lysimachos-type tetradrachms. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / KALΧA-ΔΟΝΙΩΝ, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram to inner left, spiral ornament on throne, grain ear in exergue. Good VF, toned, light porosity, die break in field on obverse. Extremely rare. Weimer Coll.
