Attaia (AD 139-161) AE 30 - Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar, 139-161 AD. AE30 - Tetrassarion (14.32g, 6h). Asklepios, magistrate. Μ ΑY[ΡΗ ΟYΗ]ΡΟС ΚΑΙСΑΡ, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / APXON ACΚΛH / ATTAITΩN, nude, youthful hero standing right, leaning forward and placing his right foot on rock; to right, Zeus standing facing, head to left, holding thunderbolt over infant in his right hand and long scepter with his left. Extremely rare, possibly the fourth known example. Minor edge split, VF.
