Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE36 (18.96g, 6h). Homonoia with Smyrna. T. Fab. Alph-, magistrate. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tyche of Thyateira and the Amazon of Smyrna standing facing one another, clasping right hands. Near VF, dark grayish-brown patina, light roughness. Very rare. Ex Frederick Coll.; Ex Lanz 117 (11/2003), lot 1066.
