Hypaipa (AD 66-68) AE 25 - Nero & Statilia Messalina

Nero & Statilia Messalina, 54-68 AD. AE25 (13.59g, 12h), struck 66-68 AD. G. Julius Hegesippos, magistrate. Diademed and draped bust of Statilia Messalina right and laureate head of Nero left, vis-a-vis / Veiled cult statue of Artemis Anaitis standing facing, extending both hands. Good VF, emerald green patina, minor smoothing in obverse fields, minor roughness on reverse. Second known example with this reverse legend variety.
