Perge (AD 193-211) AE 35 - Septimius Severus

Septimius Severus, 193-211 AD. AE35 (35.22g, 12h). AV • K • Λ • CЄ • CЄOVHPOC • Π• C, ЄB below bust, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / ΠЄP Γ A IΩN, cultic xoanon of Artemis Pergaia, flanked by sphinx set on low basis, star and crescent on either side above; all within distyle temple façade; pediment decorated with eagle standing right, head left, with wings displayed and floral acroteria. VF, dark brown patina with traces of red, light scratch under patina on obverse, areas of minor smoothing. Apparently unpublished with these legends.
