It should be noted - this obverse die appears to have had details re­engraved before striking the present piece.

This is a nice spec. of the so-called Homonoia Coinage which was issued in Asia Minor for two joint cities as expression for their entente cordiale. This one was struck in Ephesos joint with Alexandria in Egypt.
