ca 345-340 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 15.11g, 12h). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Veiled head of Demeter left, ΚΩΙΟΝ below, ΑΘΑΜΑΣ (magistrate) behind. Toned near EF on a broad flan. An exceptional Classical Greek coin with a pedigree back to its source. Ex CNG XIV (3/1991), lot 169; Leu 45 (5/1988), lot 227; Pixodarus Hoard, 8c.
