Kolophon (BC 450-410) Drachm

ca 450-410 BC. AR Drachm (5.23 g, 7h). [Ν]ΟΙΝΩΦΟΛΟΚ (retrograde), head of Apollo right, wearing laurel wreath / Kithara in incuse square. Good VF, darkly toned, granular surfaces. Rare.

Milne describes the legend as counterclockwise around the head, but it is actually clockwise around, beginning below the chin.
