Persian Kings (BC 350-333) Tetradrachm

Artaxerxes III to Darios III, ca 350-333 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 15.13g, 8h). Chian standard. Halikarnassos mint(?). Persian king, wearing kidaris and kandys, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear in right hand, bow in left / Prow of galley right, with hornlike akrostolion, fighting platform decorated with labrys, proembolon (upper battering ram) decorated with dolphin and an embolom (principal three pronged battering ram); wave pattern below; to right, small dolphin diagonally downward right. Unpublished and unique.
