Knidos (BC 490-465) Drachm

ca 490-465 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 6.11g, 9h). Forepart of roaring lion right / Head of Aphrodite right, hair falling down back of neck and tied at the end; all within incuse square. Beautifully toned and of splendid late Archaic style. The obverse struck from a corroded die, otherwise gVF.
